Job Description
The Merch Store Lead at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is responsible for assisting the Store Supervisor in executing a world class retail experience. This position will work in collaboration with the Store Supervisor and Merch Store staff to help create and implement processes which support the retail experience. This position will also work closely with other departments including Hospitality, Marketing and Market Representative teams to assist on their individual goals. The Merch Store Lead will report directly to the Merch Store Supervisor and will work closely on the design, vision, and implementation of shop goals.
Responsibilities
Have weekly meetings with Merch Store Supervisor on upcoming programming for the distillery.
Assist in onboarding and training of new Merch Store hires.
Assist the Merch Store Supervisor in scheduling when needed
Perform monthly inventory with direction from manager
Maintain cleanliness and aesthetic of retail shop, including keeping understock and supplies organized
Maintain order in retail area of both on and offsite warehouses.
Keep Merch Store stocked and notify manager of low quantities
Act as an additional point of contact for guests to answer inquiries.
Taking a leading role on special release days
Greet customers as they enter the shop and encourage staff to engage with all guests while in the store.
Work with Store Manager to implement sales strategies to meet monthly goals.
Minimum Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality
Strong leadership qualities
Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
High level of knowledge of NGBD story and products.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Work Environment: - Works outdoors/indoors - Works in warm/cold climates - Works in high places - Works on wet surfaces - Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals - Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic - Must be able to move up to 55 lbs - Primary office environment is public hospitality spaces
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The salary range for this role is:
$15.26 - $22.42
